If the alert keeps on causing your generator to be off and you are sure to keep the generator far from you and you are safe from carbon monoxide. Then I think you have no choice but to bypass the feature in the meantime.
But first, you have to check if the generator is fine, the oil and gas are intact, and the spark plug and other parts of the generator are.
Secondly, if you aren’t a technician, you should get one yourself or better off use the generator manual. With the manual, you can locate the CO Alert wire on the generator and disconnect it.
